Spanish Steps and dinner at Romeo Chef and Baker

Scroll down for a version in English

// How magical aren't these photos we shot at the Spanish Steps in Rome? 😍 It was hot like hell, around 32 degrees celsius, even though it was only around nine in the morning. I actually wore my hair in a ponytail for most part of our stay in Rome due to the extreme heat but I let my hair down in order to take these photos because, well - I think I look better with my hair down and I really wanted to get good photos in this beautiful surrounding.
By the way, how gorgeous isn't Pontus! I mean, I can answer that question myself, ha ha, but just look at his stylish outfit! The tee with flower print (I bought that for him for his birthday) paired with those light jeans shorts and those silver metallic sneakers - wow! He really got his styling on point!
Speaking of Pontus. He found out about a newly opened restaurant a bit outside of the city centre, called Romeo Chef and Baker. We went there for dinner one evening and drank the best red wine ever. A really modern restaurant - just checkout their wall and ceiling decorations.
We started by ordering a drink each - a Romeo for Pontus and a Giuliet for me, accompanied with a plate of cold cuts and italian burrata. For main course I hade their ravioli filled with truffle. I can't remember what Pontus had but it was all delicious!
On our way back to the hotel we took the bus going the opposite direction and when I tried to ask a local Italian about where to get of to get to the bus station alled Paola he thought I ment the metro station Paolo close by - something we understood only after we'd gotten of the bus, ha! We got down to the metro station, confused about where we were at, and I thought we should take the metro one direction while Pontus thought we should take it the other direction. We decided on asking Google maps for advice. Never ask Goggle maps for advice! You guys know how many times we got lost in Rome because of Google maps?! Of course we got on the wrong train and ended up way out in the suburb at a desest metro station. Thankfully we found a taxi close by and made it back to our hotel by taxi at around midnight. I think we left the restaurant around ten in the evening...
What a story to tell, huh! Well, small mishappenings and or getting lost is just part of the travel, am I right 😉
On Friday my new travel guide over Rome will be up here on the blog so be sure to check it out for some tips and inspiration 💋
